Body

In later life our circumstances or situation can change and this can impact upon our benefits.

A dice representing the feeling of being unsure. If you are taken into hospital for a certain period of time or into care, this will have a knock-on effect on certain benefits.

You may also, unfortunately, have to prepare for abrupt changes to benefits if you are bereaved by the death of your loved one.

Please speak directly to a benefits adviser if your changes of situation include:

  • Beginning part or full-time study
  • Starting work as a paid employee
  • Being imprisoned
  • Relocating to or from abroad
